Thank you to all that joined Team Personal Symmetrics at the Third Annual Karen Wellington Foundation for Living with Breast Cancer FUN Run 5k and Recipient Celebration! It was a day of community, hope, and glee! The Karen Wellington Foundation’s mission is to put FUN on the calendars of women and families living with breast cancer by sending them on special vacations, relaxing spa days, concerts, and other fun-only activities.
Personal Symmetrics was proud to be a sponsor and support the KWF mission. Personal Symmetrics Kathleen Kauffman participated with her mom Mary. It was a beautiful day for a wonderful event. This year’s recipient of the gift of fun is going to see The Christmas Carol!

Personal Symmetrics was proud to be a Survivor Sponsor of Pink Ribbon Good — Cincinnati Region’s Survivor Event, Survivors on Pointe, on Thursday, June 13 at the Cincinnati Ballet. Personal Symmetrics’ Tammy Franklin and Kathleen Kauffman were thrilled to speak with women, hear their stories, and share about Personal Symmetrics’ services. It was an uplifting and inspirational event for survivors, caregivers, supporters, family, and friends to share hope, love, and healing. Proceeds from the event went to Pink Ribbon Good’s mission to support those affected by breast and gynecological cancers.

Personal Symmetrics’ Kathleen Kauffman was thrilled to be a part of the 2023 Kentucky Dragon Boat Festival at AJ Jolly Park on Saturday, Sept. 9, featuring Paddling For Cancer Awareness – p4ca and The Kentucky Thorough-Breasts. Personal Symmetrics sponsored a booth and donated a raffle prize. Attendees stopped by to learn about our exceptional post-mastectomy care and products. It was excellent seeing groups doing #yoga in the morning and cheering on their favorite team! The Kentucky Dragon Boat Festival includes teams of 14-25 people racing dragon boats—large, canoe-like boats—along Campbell County Lake. Paddling for Cancer Awareness and Kentucky Thorough-Breasts are non-profit organizations that seek to defeat cancer and spread cancer awareness through paddling sports. We can never do enough to bring awareness to breast cancer and how women can successfully survive it!

We are so honored to have been a sponsor of Hats off to Our Survivors on May 2nd! The event was a Derby-Themed Survivor Celebration by Pink Ribbon Good took place at Little Miami Brewing Co. Event Center. Personal Symmetrics is humbled to serve the Survivor Community. We look forward to meeting new people and families.
It was an uplifting, inspirational, and beautiful event for people coming together to share love, hope, and healing. Personal Symmetrics has been dedicated to providing post-mastectomy services to women in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for more than 25 years.

Kathleen Kauffman has joined Personal Symmetrics as a post-mastectomy fitter.
She has worked in the medical field for nine years and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where her field of study was multi-skilled health technician. She also holds medical assistant certification from the University of Cincinnati.
In addition to her “wonderful co-workers,” Kathleen says the best part of her job is “helping patients regain confidence and bringing a smile to their faces.”
A native of Loveland, she enjoys spending time with family, her two dogs and a cat. She also like to line dance. Her favorite sports teams are the Bengals and Reds.

Recently, CFm/American Board Certified post-mastectomy fitter Tammy Franklin and Personal Symmetrics participated in two breast cancer events to not only share their expertise, but also to meet new people and learn about new resources that can be passed along to their breast cancer survivor clients. First, Tammy and Personal Symmetrics participated in the annual Ethicon Breast Cancer Awareness Fair at the Ethicon Endo-Surgery campus in Blue Ash on October 24. The fair provided attendees with information on all aspects of breast cancer. Second, Tammy teamed up with Linda Higgins for the University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s free education event that took place on November 2 at the Kingsgate Marriott Hotel in Cincinnati. Titled, “Breast Health Prevention, Detection and Treatment: Innovations,” this event covered various topics, including genetic testing, high risk evaluation, breast imaging, metastatic breast cancer, immunotherapy, and supportive needs during the breast cancer journey.
